From September 18 to 21, 2025, the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Open Championship Asia & Pacific was grandly held in the Philippines. The event brought together outstanding young talents and educational teams from across the Asia-Pacific region, who showcased the limitless possibilities of future technological education through creative design and engineering practice. This year’s competition drew particular attention as it was the first time WRO allowed teams to freely choose their equipment. Making its debut, the MATRIX Robotics Mini R4 Controller stood out immediately, gaining recognition from both participants and mentors while securing impressive results across multiple categories—setting a new benchmark for bridging education with industry standards.

Enthusiastic Response to Workshops and Exhibition Booth
Beyond the competitions, MATRIX actively engaged in educational outreach at the event. Multiple workshops were held where students could operate the R4 themselves and experience how wireless connectivity and multi-sensor integration could be applied to solve various tasks. Many participants later shared that “this is not just competition equipment, but also a valuable tool for understanding engineering thinking.”
