Global Impact: MATRIX Robotics Advances from Taiwan to Europe

It’s been an exciting few weeks across the MATRIX community! From workshops in Taiwan to international robotics competitions in Hungary and Germany, we’re proud to support learners and educators as they build skills, solve problems, and spark innovation.
Taiwan 2025: Huwei University of Science and Technology to achieve a goal-oriented robotics learning centre
We recently partnered with the open-source Service Resources (OSSR) Center at Huwei University of Science and Technology (Formosa University) to host an engaging hands-on robotics workshop in Huwei, Taiwan. Participants explored the MATRIX MAFI900 Future Innovators Set, using MATRIXblock to design, build, and program robots in a creative and competitive setting.
At the end of the session, everyone received MATRIX certification, recognizing their active learning and technical achievement. This event reflects the Huwei University of Science and Technology’ OSSR Center’s commitment to sustainable development and innovative education, values we proudly share.
WRO Hungary 2025: A Record-Breaking Year
In Győr, Hungary, the 11th edition of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) National Finals brought together an unprecedented number of teams, reflecting the rapidly growing enthusiasm for robotics among young learners.
Throughout the competition, teams demonstrated exceptional creativity and precision, tackling real-world challenges through programming, problem-solving, and collaboration.
As the official technology partner, MATRIX proudly supported the event and awarded MATRIX Certificates of Achievement to three outstanding teams in the Future Innovator category. These certificates celebrate their excellence and commitment to continued STEM exploration.
Many participants also received their MATRIX Future Innovator Sets during the event, ready to be unboxed and used. We can’t wait to see what they build and how they shine in the next WRO season!
WRO Germany Final 2025: A New Chapter Begins
At the WRO Germany Final in Dortmunder Westfalenhallen, we celebrated our first official collaboration with WRO Germany, which also marked the debut of the Robo Starter category, powered by the MATRIX Mini Essential Kit.
Teams brought their ideas to life using MATRIX Future Innovator Kits, and we were thrilled to see how well the MATRIX Mini R4 controller was received, praised by both coaches and participants for its powerful and reliable performance.

This event also marked a special milestone as MATRIX Robotics System was officially introduced to the German robotics community for the very first time through our valued partner, Christiani, one of Europe’s most established and trusted educational suppliers.
